March Madness Fantasy 2019 - Round of 4 Results

Boy oh boy, it is a lot easier and faster to summarize two games compared to the four and eight and 16 and 32.

Ty Jerome, the very slow man's James Harden, got away with a dribbling violation, allowing for an Auburn player to not get away with a shooting foul, causing Virginia to win.

After that, two new teams warmed up and then took the floor and then played a full basketball game, and in the end Texas Tech beat Michigan State 61-51 in a game where shots were easy to come by, but made shots were not.

TOP EIGHT STUDS, FINAL FOUR
OWNER ROUND SELECTION PLAYER TEAM SEED GAME5_SCORE
1 Bob 2 18 Ty Jerome Virginia Cavaliers 1 35
2 Stu 4 33 Matt Mooney Texas Tech Red Raiders 3 26
3 Dan 2 15 De'Andre Hunter Virginia Cavaliers 1 21
4 Dan 3 26 Kyle Guy Virginia Cavaliers 1 21
5 Jake 1 10 Cassius Winston Michigan State Spartans 2 17
6 Stu 2 13 Jarrett Culver Texas Tech Red Raiders 3 15
7 Alison 5 47 Xavier Tillman Michigan State Spartans 2 15
8 Stu 8 73 Tariq Owens Texas Tech Red Raiders 3 15

Ty Jerome is laughing all the way to the top stud bank! Meanwhile, Stu's three Red Raiders did not reach my estimated goal of 24 points each; only Mooney went off for 26. Jake's last active player scored 17.

TOP THREE DUDS BECAUSE THERE AREN'T MANY OWNED PLAYERS LEFT, FINAL FOUR
OWNER ROUND SELECTION PLAYER TEAM SEED GAME5_SCORE
1 Bob 8 78 Braxton Key Virginia Cavaliers 1 5
2 Bob 3 23 Nick Ward Michigan State Spartans 2 7
3 Chris 3 25 Kenny Goins Michigan State Spartans 2 10

The mysterious Braxton Key now has scored 35 fantasy points in 5 games. He's now ranked #163 of the 306 players on our spreadsheet.

Jake finishes with 717.5 points. Amazing. Is it a record? No. (Chris holds the total points record: 866 in 16-17, when he had South Carolina, Gonzaga, North Carolina, and Oregon players in the Final Four.) Stu picked three players from a team that made it to the championship, and all are still healthy, but his chance to win is not healthy, it's dead. Dead on arrival. Arrival to U.S. Bank Stadium in downtown Minneapolis, site of this year's Final Four and NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship.

I will post something later this week to discuss the championship game and provide final, very good statistics.
