This Is The World We Live In

As previously discussed, it's my job to inform you of the latest Genesis/Phil Collins news. Today's alert comes via Stereogum: Disturbed has covered "Land of Confusion". Stereogum has the mp3 (and the dialogue from the related scene in American Psycho), so I downloaded and listened.

Let's just say I didn't make it to the end of the song, and it's now resting in the ol' recycle bin.

You are dead wrong. Granted, I only heard a sample, but I think Disturbed finally brings us Land Of Confusion the way it was meant to be heard. This is the first time I have heard a Nu Metal version of an 80's pop song that actually held up. And don't get me wrong...I like the original (I still have Invisible Touch on tabe somewhere). It is a credit to the song itself. Kudos, Collins, and huzzah, Disturbed. I am indeed down with the sickness.
